Saltwater Fishing Report: 6/5/17

Bigger fish are starting to mix in with the schoolie stripers that can be found throughout the Royal and Cousins Rivers.  The fish are actively feeding on small baits, such as juvenile herring and sand eels and seem to prefer white-colored baits.

Max Polstein ‘(aka “Millinocket Max”) pulled a nice 26-inch fish from the stone pier at Larrabbee Landing  and the bigger fish appear to be hanging below the schools.  Liam “Lumy” Ireland reports that bucktail jigs with soft rubber tails are able to get deep enough for the bigger fish.
